I previously resided in Vegas for years, watched the Newer Tower being built years ago,, I had never stayed there, but always enjoyed eating the buffet. How disappointing to find the rooms looking more like a Motel 6 than the coveted Rio "All Suites"...Don't be fooled,, when you have a TV in the room that is not at least a "flat screen" unit,, you know you have traveled back in time. Huge room with a small 1990's style TV? The Sectional was WORN and the carpet needed to be replaced. I had family staying there also(It was my bday weekend) and they had to have their mattress replaced. Overall, I found the hotel to be very "smoky', maybe the ventilation needs to be updated. Nothing "Suite" about it.

*be prepared when you arrive at the hotel for them to put a hold on your credit card for $* when you check in, even though your room has been paid for in advance. The hotel/casino is "okay" as far as vegas standards go, however the BED was like sleeping on a cloud, excellent, I wanted to pack it and take it home with me. The restaraunts again, are "okay" and a bit overpriced for what quality you get. The hotel is very very clean, and it is not smoke ridden which is great, the staff is friendly. They do provide a free shuttle to the actual "strip" at different stops. I have been to vegas several times, although I wouldn't "complain about the hotel, it would definatly not be my choice again to stay there.

ALL I CAN SAY IS MY TRIP WAS AWESOME. EVERYONE AT THE HOTEL WAS VERY NICE AND HELPFUL. I HAD A BLAST!!! AND THE VIEW FROM MY ROOM WHICH I HAD A VIEW OF THE STRIP IT WAS JUST GORGEOUS. ESPECIALLY AT NITE. OMG AND THE BED SLEPT SOOOO GOOD.

Nice quiet place to stay. Very clean. Be aware there is NO coffee maker in the room, although there is a small fridge, so you'll need to pack a 'hot-pot' and some coffee if you want coffee in the room. In addition, if you are a diabetic, like me, and gluten intolerant, like me, you had better bring some groceries as well, because it will not be easy to find foods that are allowable on those food plans here, although for regular eaters the food looked good at least. There is a Whole Foods Market about 8 -10 miles away where you can shop and then bring it back to the room. Be awre there is also an extra charge to use the workout facility. It's not close enough to the 'strip' so that you can walk, but there is a shuttle service from the hotel. There is no shuttle from or to the airport, so that's another cost as well.

Just got bck from the Rio n hubby n I had a blast!!! Loved all the entertainment...n the buffet had a nice variety with good food! Free shuttle to the strip was a breeze#40only about a 8 min ride#41 will definitely go bck!
